The Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) was established in June of 1986. Led by an eight-member board and overseen by President/CEO, Al Denson, BAA is responsible for the administration, operation, growth and development of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, Alabama’s largest airport serving the Greater Birmingham area and surrounding Southeastern cities. Offering more than 130 daily flights to over 56 cities throughout the United States, Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) presently ranks in the country’s top 75 airports in terms of passengers served annually.
